Secrets (Secret.s): When a door opens, no life remains secret

An evening, a secret, and two twin brothers who couldn’t be more different: The comedy Secrets (Secret.s) by Sébastien Blanc brings precise timing, pointed dialogues, and wonderfully human chaos to the German Theatre Göttingen on October 23, 2026. The show starts at 8:00 PM in dt.x.

A door, a sentence, and the truth escalates

One must think very carefully about opening a door. That’s exactly where this comedic chamber play sets in: life lies, truths, rivalry, and loyalty come dangerously close to one another. What initially sounds like a perfectly normal evening turns into a nerve-wracking rollercoaster ride through friendship, family, and the little secrets people surprisingly struggle to keep to themselves.

One actor, two brothers, double stage energy

The unique idea of the production: The two contrasting twin brothers are played by only one actor. This demands precise timing, quick role changes, and stage presence with high-speed curves. Every reaction is spot on, every glance can trigger the next punchline. For the audience, a humorous game with identity, rivalry, and the question of who is really deceiving whom unfolds.

Comedy with a French sense of punchlines

Sébastien Blanc is a French actor, director, and author. Secret.s premiered in 2024 at the Théâtre de la Madeleine in Paris and had its German-language premiere in 2025 at the Theater Heilbronn. Blanc also co-wrote several plays with Nicolas Poiret, including Two Lies, One Truth, which was nominated for the Molière award in 2018.

Timing instead of slapstick

This comedy relies on precise dialogue delivery, surprising twists, and a comedy atmosphere where laughter emerges from the situations. The audience experiences a laughing experience that balances fine spoken theater and rapid role play. For those who love stand-up, cabaret, and pointed stage comedy, this offers a different style of humor: less microphone, more facial expressions; less grand gesture, more perfect interaction.

Conclusion: Experience Secrets live

Secrets (Secret.s) promises a theater evening full of tension, wit, and human abysses. Those who want to see how a hushed detail can lead to a complete stage disaster should not miss this evening at the German Theatre Göttingen. Doors closed, everyday life out, laughter on.
