Göttingen in the Jazz flow: Deep in the groove invites to an open session
On Monday, November 16, 2026, the Nörgelbuff will transform into a lively meeting place for jazz, groove, and spontaneous musical encounters. At Deep in the groove – Jazz session, the evening begins with an opener, before the stage is opened for groups and solo artists.
When an impulse grows into a whole groove
This jazz session thrives on immediate interplay. A musical motif, a quick glance between musicians, and the precise synchronization in the next beat can change the entire space. Jazz, blues, funk, electro, and freestyle come together and develop directly in front of the audience.
Opener, open stage, and musical freedom
The opener sets the first sound accent of the evening. After that, the stage is open for anyone who wants to share their ideas with other musicians. Bands, soloists, and spontaneous formations find the right setting here for improvisation, interaction, and making music together.
Live atmosphere at the Nörgelbuff
The Nörgelbuff stands for intimate club concerts and immediate closeness to the audience. Between warm stage sound, focused listening, and surprising turns, a concert experience emerges that does not live from a fixed setlist but from the moment. Those who want to not just hear jazz but experience it as it is created will find an open and energetic stage here.
Join in or just listen
Anyone who wants to perform can sign up directly at the stage on the night. Curious listeners are also welcome: The session combines musical expertise with playful openness and offers space for different instruments, styles, and levels of experience.
