Eric Fish & Friends bring Folk, Rock, and intense emotions to EXIL
On Thursday, November 5, 2026, Eric Fish & Friends will perform at EXIL in Göttingen. Starting at 8:00 PM, distinctive vocals meet acoustic guitars, fine piano tones, and the immediate live atmosphere of a club.
Between singer-songwriter intimacy and rock energy
For decades, Eric Fish has represented a unique connection of German-language singer-songwriter songwriting, folk, and rock. His solo program Eric Fish & Friends originated in 1999 and focuses on musical closeness rather than distanced stage routine. The arrangements thrive on changing sound colors, multi-part singing, and direct communication with the audience.
An evening with musical depth
At the center are expressive lyrics, acoustic instruments, and a stage performance that oscillates between reflective moments and powerful outbursts. Guitars, harmonica, piano, and vocals shape a versatile soundscape in which folk influences, rock attitude, and personal storytelling intertwine.
Experience from Subway to Sally and own discography
Eric Fish has been the frontman of Subway to Sally since 1992 and has shaped numerous releases there. With his solo project, he has released albums such as Live! – Eye to Eye, Twin, Against the Current, Everything in Flow, Cascade, Maelstrom, Tides, Depths, and To the Bottom. Subway to Sally won the Bundesvision Song Contest in 2008; that same year, the acoustic live DVD Naked received a gold record.
Live at EXIL Göttingen
