FATCAT brings the funk groove to Göttingen

On Wednesday, November 11, 2026, FATCAT transforms the musa in Göttingen into a pulsating meeting point for soul, funk, and pop. The eight-member band presents their FOREVER Tour 2026 with powerful grooves, sparkling disco vibes, and a stage performance that gets right into your legs.

Fat horn sections and warm soul voice

FATCAT combines handcrafted funk with modern pop elements and soulful energy. At the center is the powerful, distinctive voice of Kenyatta Joyner. This is complemented by precise synchronization, driving beats, and a dense orchestration that unfolds the band’s sound particularly effectively live.

From Freiburg to large stages

The funk band from Freiburg has already played as a support for Chaka Khan, Jamie Cullum, Saga, and Anastacia. Performances at the Montreux Jazz Festival, the Fusion Festival, the Baltic Soul Weekender, and at the invitation of Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier at Schloss Bellevue underline the live experience of the formation. Their discography includes titles like Champagne Rush, Love Child, GOOD.zip, and More Sugar.

Live atmosphere in the musa

The musa at Hagenweg is one of Göttingen's established socio-cultural centers and provides the perfect setting for an intense concert experience. Funky bass lines, crisp horns, rhythmic precision, and colorful stage lights meet an atmosphere that invites the audience to swing along and dance from the very first beat.

What to expect from the audience

The FOREVER Tour 2026 promises an energetic mix of new tracks and fan favorites. FATCAT stands for musical joy, strong stage presence, and a sound that brings together soul, funk, and pop without stylistic boundaries.

Anyone who wants to experience the band not just from recordings, but in full live dynamics should mark this concert evening in the Göttingen musa and secure their tickets in time.
