JazzAffair brings intimate sound colors to APEX Göttingen

On Wednesday, November 11, 2026, JazzAffair invites you to a special concert evening at APEX Göttingen with the program Come together. The event starts at 20:15. The focus is on Birgit and Karsten von Lüpke, whose musical interplay combines vocals and piano into a finely tuned jazz experience.

Virtuoso improvisations and emotional arrangements

JazzAffair stands for sensitive interaction, virtuoso improvisations, and an individual sound. The characteristic voice of Birgit von Lüpke meets the sensitive piano accompaniment of Karsten von Lüpke. This creates a live atmosphere where dynamics, timing, and musical communication become immediately palpable.

New compositions meet jazz standards

For the evening at APEX, the duo brings new compositions that will be presented for the first time there. The program is complemented by original arrangements of well-known jazz standards and selected songs by the Beatles. Between calm sound moments and lively improvisation, a varied concert evening with a personal touch develops.

Three decades of musical connection

Birgit and Karsten von Lüpke founded JazzAffair about 30 years ago in Göttingen. After a ten-year period in Frankfurt am Main, they now live in southern France and perform their concerts in Germany, France, and on cruise ships. Their long stage experience shapes the synchronization, the conducting in interplay, and the concentrated stage performance of the duo.

Conclusion: Experience jazz up close

Come together promises a concert evening with a sonorous voice, expressive piano, familiar melodies, and fresh musical ideas. Those who want to experience jazz in close proximity, with a personal audience atmosphere and high improvisational quality, will find the perfect setting at APEX Göttingen.
