Poetry Pop with many colors: milou & flint live at APEX Göttingen

On Friday, October 23, 2026, milou & flint will bring their colorful concert program between gold, green & pink to APEX in Göttingen. From 8:15 PM, handcrafted music meets German-language poetry, virtuoso instrumental changes, and a two-part vocal harmony that floats between singer-songwriter, folk, chanson, and pop.

When two voices create a whole sound universe

Barbara Milou and Christoph van Hal are among the most unconventional multi-instrumentalists of the German poetry pop scene. On stage, they switch between piano, guitar, accordion, foot drum, cello, trumpet, vibraphone, and other instruments with impressive synchronization. The result ranges from minimal acoustic moments to a voluminous, almost orchestral sound.

Stories that lead directly to the imagination

Their German-language lyrics tell of everyday life, closeness, new beginnings, and the small observations that linger in memory. Sometimes the songs shine brightly and playfully, sometimes they open contemplative spaces. The clear vocal line and warm orchestration give the songs an immediate, human effect.

Between campfire romance and grand stage performance

milou & flint combine the intimacy of an acoustic duo with the musical diversity of a complete band. The two-part singing recalls the harmony of Simon & Garfunkel, while the accordion, trumpet, and foot drum continually set new accents. Thus, a live atmosphere emerges in which the audience's mood and stage performance find a close connection.

A duo with awards and international stage experience

Since 2014, milou & flint have played over 400 concerts. In addition to numerous performances in Germany, they have also brought their concert tours to Japan, Portugal, and Poland. For their work, they received the Walther von der Vogelweide Prize for young songwriters in 2018. They gained attention beyond the music scene through appearances on Inas Nacht, in Fernsehgarten, and on the ZDF magazine mo:ma.

With the albums orange to blue, blue over green, and between gold, green & pink, milou & flint have developed their own musical color space. Critics have described their music as poetry pop with campfire romance, a blend of catchy melodies, loving details, and intense lyrics.

Conclusion: An evening of concert listening, marveling, and empathizing

At APEX Göttingen, the audience can expect a personal concert experience with intricate sound, surprising instrumental changes, and songs that resonate long after the last note. Those who love handcrafted music, poetic lyrics, and an extraordinary stage performance will experience milou & flint up close and immediate on October 23, 2026.
