Simon & Jan bring fresh fuel to Göttingen with Hot Air
On Wednesday, October 14, 2026, Simon & Jan will perform their new program Hot Air at APEX Göttingen. The award-winning singer-songwriter duo combines virtuosic guitar playing, multi-part singing, sharp-tongued lyrics, and fine humor into an extraordinary concert experience.
Two guitars, two voices, and lots of musical sparks
Simon & Jan focus on an unusually dense live atmosphere: fragile, tender songs meet pointed observations and musical surprises. Their stage performance thrives on the precise interplay of two voices and two guitars, shifting between delicate acoustics, sophisticated loop orchestration, and powerful musical declarations of war.
Between singer-songwriter art and orchestral fantasy
Hot Air showcases the duo in their full stylistic range. The arrangements range from intimate singer-songwriter moments to complex loop structures, where rhythm, harmony, and language become denser layer by layer. The typical Simon & Jan sound remains present: musically polished, lyrically pointed, and with a keen sense for absurd twists.
A highly awarded singer-songwriter duo
Simon & Jan are among the most well-known German duos in the singer-songwriter and cabaret scene. Their releases include live albums like The Last Scream and Hallelujah, as well as the album Because I Can with Much Harmony. Awards like the Thuringian Cabaret Prize underscore their significance within the German-speaking cabaret landscape.
Audience proximity with resonance
Their concerts combine musical precision with immediate audience proximity. Between quiet guitar sound, multi-part synchronization, and precise punchlines, an atmosphere is created that touches, entertains, and provokes thought. Audiences at APEX Göttingen can expect an evening that spans concert, singer-songwriter art, and musical cabaret.
Conclusion: Hot Air promises a varied concert evening with virtuosic guitar arrangements, two-part singing, dark humor, and poetic moments. Anyone wishing to experience Simon & Jan live should mark October 14, 2026, at APEX Göttingen and secure tickets in good time.
