Film Art at Cinema LUMIÈRE: An Evening for Special Images
The Lumière cinema program invites you on Tuesday, November 17, 2026, to a selected cinema experience in Göttingen. The film screening begins at 5:30 PM at the traditional LUMIÈRE cinema on Geismar Landstraße. The program combines demanding film culture with a focused exhibition atmosphere for moving images.
The Cinema as a Space for Aesthetic Experience
In the darkened cinema hall, the special effect of the cinematic imagery unfolds: light, editing, color, rhythm, and sound shape an intense examination of the work. The LUMIÈRE stands for a committed program cinema culture where film means not only entertainment but also cultural education, social reflection, and aesthetic experience.
Program Cinema Culture in Göttingen
The LUMIÈRE cinema regularly presents international and German-speaking film productions, documentaries, and works with a distinct artistic signature. Each screening opens a new perspective on narrative forms, contemporary themes, and film historical traditions. A cinema visit thus becomes a focused encounter with direction, acting, cinematography, and sound design.
Entry and Visit
Entry begins 30 minutes before the event starts. The screening starts at 5:30 PM and is scheduled for a duration of about two hours. The regular admission is 9 euros; students, apprentices, unemployed individuals, and holders of the Guild Pass pay 8 euros.
Conclusion: Experience Film Consciously
The Lumière cinema program offers an intense art experience for all who want to discover film as an independent art form and experience it in a focused atmosphere. Those who appreciate cinematic imagery, cultural education, and demanding program cinema culture should visit this evening live at the cinema LUMIÈRE.
