The Moving Image as Aesthetic Experience
Cinema in Lumière means engaging with works in a darkened space: light, editing, sound, and acting shape a unique visual dramaturgy. The screen becomes a venue for cultural education, where cinematic perspectives bring societal issues, individual fates, and different forms of storytelling to life.
Art Cinema with Cultural Profile
The Lumière Cinema represents a diverse film culture beyond pure mainstream offerings. The cinema program provides access to demanding feature and documentary films, international productions, and special film series. Each screening creates space for concentrated perception, critical reflection, and an immediate aesthetic experience.
An Evening for Curious Movie Lovers
The screening on November 20 begins at 5:30 PM and is expected to last until 7:30 PM. The regular admission fee is 9 euros, while discounted tickets for students, apprentices, unemployed individuals, and guild pass holders cost 8 euros. The cinema is accessible as a venue on-site in Göttingen.
