With brushes and colors, the children's library becomes colorful
In the Göttingen City Library, a creative family experience awaits young artists on Saturday, October 24, 2026. During the event Create your place in the children's library!, children will transform wooden library chairs into colorful unique pieces.
Creative learning fun with vibrant colors
From 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, the children's library will turn into an open art studio. With brushes and provided paints, the children will develop their own ideas and leave their personal, colorful footprint. Free creation enhances imagination, self-confidence, and joy in personal expression.
An age-appropriate family experience
The participatory action combines creative work with shared time in a familiar educational setting. Children will experience how their creations become part of the library. Curiosity, children's laughter, and a sustainable learning experience around creativity, community, and careful handling of materials will arise.
Discover the library and find new books
While the children are painting, a large book sale will take place in the city library from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Families can browse for children's books, non-fiction, and other reading treasures. Thus, the action day combines creative activity with reading pleasure and cultural education.
Practical information for families
Participation is free and does not require registration. The necessary materials will be provided on-site. The event takes place in the children's library of the Göttingen City Library. Parents accompany their children during the creative offering and support them in a safe, child-friendly handling of brushes and paints.
Conclusion: Look forward to a colorful family experience with creative freedom, shared time, and lots of fun learning. Come by, create your own library chair and make the children's library in Göttingen even more colorful!
