Master Eder and his Pumuckl: Goblin Fun for the Whole Family
Hooray, hooray, the Pumuckl is here! Families can experience a turbulent theater adventure full of humor, fantasy, and surprising pranks at the Young Theater Göttingen. On November 8, 2026, Master Eder's workshop will open for a child-friendly family performance filled with children's laughter, wonder, and shared time.
When the Goblin Suddenly Becomes Visible
It all begins with a pot of glue: The cheeky Pumuckl gets stuck to it and thus becomes visible to Master Eder. According to old cobblestone law, the little goblin must stay with the person who discovered him. This fundamentally changes the daily life of the master craftsman.
Wit, Magic, and Lots of Chaos
Wallets fly through the air, hamsters disappear, and Pumuckl's pranks keep the workshop in constant motion. The lively production combines physical play, imaginative situations, and lovable characters into a family experience that children and adults can enjoy together.
A Heartfelt Learning Experience
An unusual friendship develops between Master Eder and his goblin. Themes such as trust, solidarity, mutual consideration, and dealing with different personalities are experienced in an entertaining way. Child-friendly theater stimulates the imagination, strengthens language development, and makes social emotions immediately visible.
Aged Appropriately and Full of Playfulness
The production is aimed at the whole family and has been designed to work for children from about five years old as well as for older audiences. Director Johannes Kalle Schäfer relies on an accessible, dynamic stage language and wants to take children seriously without overwhelming them. The duration is approximately one hour.
A Sunday Full of Together Time
The performance starts at 1:00 PM at the Young Theater Göttingen. The barrier-free theater on Bürgerstraße offers families a fixed framework for a special cultural visit. On stage, Pumuckl's energy, Master Eder's warmth, and the turbulent entanglements create wonder, curiosity, and a joyful sense of community.
Conclusion: Master Eder and his Pumuckl promises a imaginative family experience filled with wit, friendship, and goblin mischief. Those who want to experience the beloved story live will discover an hour full of learning fun, surprises, and real theater magic at the Young Theater Göttingen.
