Storytime in the Children's Library: A Storytime for Little Book Fans
When children dive into stories, a special family experience begins: On Saturday, November 14, 2026, Hiltrud Althaus, Gabriele Scheel, and Sigrid Backhaus invite you to a reading session at the Nikolausberg branch of the Göttingen City Library. From 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, the children's library will become a cozy place for children's laughter, imagination, and shared time.
An Hour Full of Imagination and Curiosity
During storytime, colorful images, exciting characters, and new worlds emerge in their minds. Children listen attentively, discover joy in language, and experience literature in a very immediate way. The varying readers bring stories to life in a child-friendly and engaging manner in the library.
Age-Appropriate Learning Fun with Books
Reading aloud supports language development, expands vocabulary, and strengthens concentration. At the same time, the shared learning experience in a relaxed atmosphere fosters curiosity, listening, and empathy for other characters. For families, the event offers a valuable, quiet break from everyday life.
Cozy Family Time in the Library
Children will find comfortable seating in the reading area and follow the stories at their own pace. Parents and caregivers experience the special atmosphere of a storytime together with their children: quiet anticipation, curious glances, and the joy of discussing the story after the last sentence.
Safe and Easy Participation
The reading session takes place on-site at the Nikolausberg branch. Participation is free and does not require registration, as long as spaces are available. Families can drop by spontaneously and enjoy an age-appropriate learning experience around books together.
Conclusion: Immersing Together in Stories
A warm voice, a good book, and curious children make this reading session a special family experience. Families from Göttingen are invited to take a seat in the Children's Library Nikolausberg on November 14, 2026, and experience the joy of reading live.
