Storytime in Geismar: An hour full of picture book stories
On Thursday, October 22, 2026, Ina Laengner invites children and families to a cozy reading hour at the Göttingen City Library – Geismar Branch. From 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, various picture book stories will be the focus.
Literary experience for children and families
When a story is read aloud, the library transforms into a special storytelling space: voices give shape to characters, images open new perspectives, and language becomes immediately tangible. The reading hour combines reading promotion with family time and creates an accessible entry point into the world of books.
Cozy reading atmosphere in the library
In the reading nook of the Geismar Branch, visitors can expect a calm, personal atmosphere. The reading of various picture book stories invites listening, wonder, and shared exploration. Especially for younger children, the library becomes a lively place of imagination and encounter.
Reading promotion with closeness and linguistic art
Reading aloud strengthens the joy of stories and makes literary language immediately experienceable. The event conveys narrative foundations, expands vocabulary, and promotes attention. At the same time, a shared literary experience emerges, where children encounter books as an inspiring, accessible, and communal experience.
Conclusion: Diving into stories together
The reading hour with Ina Laengner offers a loving author encounter and an inspiring library afternoon for children and families. Participation is free and does not require registration, as long as seats are available. Those who want to experience stories not just by reading them but through their voice and atmosphere will find the right place in Geismar on October 22.
