Film Art and Special Cinema Moments at Lumière Göttingen
On Friday, November 13, 2026, the LUMIÈRE cinema in Göttingen invites you to a diverse cinema program. The screening at 8:00 PM combines selected film art with concentrated event atmosphere and the special charm of an independent program cinema.
Selected Films on the Big Screen
The Lumière stands for sophisticated feature films and documentaries, original versions, and socially relevant topics. On the day of the event, among others, Sorda – The Sound of the World at 5:30 PM and Bugonia in original version with subtitles at 8:00 PM are scheduled. The selection is aimed at cinema lovers who seek new perspectives, strong imagery, and intense stories away from anonymous multiplex operations.
Cinema Culture with a Personal Atmosphere
When the hall darkens and the first beam of light reaches the screen, a shared event experience is created with special closeness to the film. LUMIÈRE was founded in 1986 and is operated by the Film and Cinema Initiative Göttingen e.V. The organization combines careful program planning, cultural diversity, and an engaged target audience approach.
Admission, Tickets, and Getting There
The cinema box office opens daily from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM and an additional half hour before showtime. The regular admission fee is 10 euros, and discounted tickets cost 8 euros.
