Arthouse cinema with its own visual language

Exhibition atmosphere meets film art

The cinema hall is located in a newly designed former church nave. The historical half-timbered construction shapes the spatial effect and gives the film experience a special architectural depth. Light, projection, and the concentrated silence of the hall create an intense exhibition atmosphere for cinematic images.

The Méliès views film as a cultural practice and as an independent art form. Special events, film series, and discussions expand the cinema program with perspectives on film history, direction, editing, and visual storytelling. The visit is suitable for anyone who appreciates cinema as an artistic experience and a place of cultural encounter.
