Active Sunday in Göttingen: Movement, Creativity, and New Energy
On Sunday, November 8, 2026, VHS Göttingen Osterode will transform its main office into a meeting point for active people, families, and curious explorers. From 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Active Sunday combines movement, creativity, language, and play into a versatile morning program.
Jumping into Sunday
Sporty offerings like Zumba Sunday Dance Flow, Hula Hoop Dance, and Men's Yoga cater to different interests and fitness levels. Music, rhythm, coordination, and mobility bring dynamism to the morning. Those who enjoy moving and are seeking new training impulses will find a variety of options for an active start to the day.
Diversity instead of a standard program
Active Sunday focuses on a diverse mix. In addition to movement, the program includes a creative workshop for elementary school children, open consultation hours on artificial intelligence, language offerings, an English Pub Quiz, and a taste course in Ukrainian. This creates an event format that combines physical activity with education, interaction, and shared leisure time.
Family-friendly Environment
Children of all ages are welcome. Free childcare is available for children aged five and up, so adults can participate comfortably in the offerings. Comfortable clothing, a willingness to try new experiences, and a desire for encounters are sufficient for attendance. Water, tea, and coffee are available for a small break at no cost.
A Morning of Many Possibilities
Entry for adults is 15 euros at the box office and is valid for the entire Active Sunday. Children participate for free. Admission begins at 9:30 AM. Some offerings have limited seats, so early registration directly with VHS is advisable.
Active Sunday combines movement, joy of play, and personal encounters in an open stadium atmosphere without competitive pressure. Those who want to experience Sunday actively, creatively, and socially will find the perfect meeting point at VHS Göttingen.
