When Knowledge Becomes a Stage: Facts&Fiction at Forum Knowledge
On Saturday, November 7, 2026, Forum Knowledge in Göttingen opens its doors for a special stage experience: The improvisational theater duo Kießling&Kaffka transforms the exhibition into an interactive theater tour between facts, fictions, and spontaneous ideas. The event starts at 11:00 AM and lasts about 60 minutes.
Improvisation Meets Science
Nele Kießling and Jannis Kaffka create humorous songs and loving stories live in the moment. Inputs from the audience and thoughts from the exhibition communicators form the basis for a mobile dramaturgy, where existing knowledge meets emerging narratives.
A Tour with Open Dramaturgy
The production does not follow a rigid stage plan. Instead, the direction develops in direct exchange with the audience and the exhibits. The spaces of knowledge become the playground, their themes the material for spontaneous scenes. Thus, Facts&Fiction combines performing arts, science communication, and museum experience into an unusual form of theater.
Humor, Proximity, and New Perspectives
The acoustics of the exhibition spaces, the closeness to the objects, and the immediate audience reaction shape the theater atmosphere. Each performance gets its own rhythm: at times a surprising thought leads to a song, at others a small story grows from a scientific detail. Facts and fictions encounter each other with ease, wit, and emotional warmth.
Forum Knowledge as a Venue
Forum Knowledge at Berliner Straße 28 provides the atmospheric setting for this interactive improvisational theater tour. Visitors experience the museum not just as a place of communication but as a vibrant stage where knowledge becomes audible, visible, and collectively tangible.
Conclusion: Facts&Fiction promises a surprising connection of improvisation, theater tour, and science. Those who wish to discover Forum Knowledge from a new perspective and co-create a unique stage experience will enjoy a humorous and emotional tour very close to the audience. Prior registration is recommended.
