A murder case that unfolds on stage

A scream pierces the Göttingen night, a corpse causes a stir – and Inspector Gans begins the investigation. In Gänseliesel and her Murderers – an improvised hometown crime drama, the improvisational theater Improsant transforms the APEX into a crime scene where nothing is fixed, and every audience reaction can change the course of the story.

The audience investigates along

Securing clues, questioning suspects, untangling motives: The audience not only sits in the front row but becomes part of the dramaturgy. From shouts, ideas, and spontaneous inspirations, the ensemble shapes a full-length improvised crime drama. The plot unfolds live before the eyes of the audience – unique, unrepeatable, and charged anew with every scene.

Improvisation between crime, comedy, and artistry

Improsant combines classic impro-comedy with live music, singing, and deep theatrical performance. The direction emerges in the moment, the stage design reflects the imagination of those involved, and the artistry thrives on precise interplay, quick role switches, and surprising twists. Between humorous suspicions and genuine suspense moments, a theatrical atmosphere develops that reacts directly to the energy of the space.

Göttingen local feeling with an open ending

The hometown crime drama draws on the Göttingen Gänseliesel as a cultural reference point and transforms familiar city spaces into an imaginary investigative landscape. Every hint can steer the plot in a new direction. Sometimes humor sparkles, sometimes suspense intensifies, sometimes a scene tips over due to a single idea. This unpredictability is what makes the stage experience so appealing.

An ensemble with extensive improvisation experience

For over ten years, Improsant has been performing in Göttingen and on stages across Germany. The ensemble stands for innovative, varied, and charming improvisation that connects light and heavy themes of life. The audience's reactions become the dramatic engine: Each performance receives its own rhythm, atmosphere, and ending.
