No to Money: When a Lottery Win Changes Everything
What would you do if you won the lottery? In the comedy No to Money, Richard decides against the million-dollar sum – and thereby throws his family and friends completely off balance. The premiere on November 12, 2026, at the Young Theater Göttingen combines sharp wit, keen social observation, and turbulent stage moments.
A Radical Decision with Surprising Consequences
Richard has indeed won, but instead of accepting his newfound wealth, he consistently says no to money. During a shared dinner, bewilderment, indignation, and hidden longings collide. The familiar gathering becomes the setting for a rapid confrontation about happiness, possession, and personal values.
Comedy with Pace, Wit, and a Social Perspective
Flavia Coste’s play sharply examines the relationship to wealth and material security. Amidst witty dialogues and surprising twists, the production poses questions that go far beyond the lottery win: How much money does a person need to be happy? And what remains of friendship and family when suddenly millions are in the room?
Premiere at the Young Theater Göttingen
