No to Money: When a Lottery Win Turns Life Upside Down
What happens when a person suddenly wins millions but still says no? The comedy No to Money by Flavia Coste brings this radical decision to the stage of the Young Theater Göttingen on November 14, 2026. It starts at 20:00.
A Surprising Decision with Turbulent Consequences
Richard has won the lottery. But instead of accepting the millions, he decides against the money. During a dinner with family and friends, this decision sparks disbelief, outrage, and hidden yearnings. The familiar group is thrown off balance.
Pithy Humor and Sharp Social Observation
Flavia Coste's comedy combines fast-paced stage playing with a clever question: How much money does a person need for happiness? Amid surprising twists, pointed dialogues, and humorous conflicts, an event experience arises about possessions, values, and the dependencies of a society where seemingly everything has its price.
Right in the Audience Mood
The production by Angelika Zacek relies on pace, situational comedy, and the friction between personal conviction and societal expectations. Agnes Giese, Malin Kraft, Jan Reinartz, and Jens Tramsen create a stage world where a seemingly clear decision continually raises new questions. The ambiance of the Young Theater provides the suitable setting for an intense theater evening with humorous moments and pointed social analysis.
